Stamina makes cheap recumbent exercise bikes which are not really unpopular. Their appeal lies within an appealing mixture of building, price and attribute list. But when buying a low-cost piece of fitness equipment there are going to be some points that are negative. Below are some ratings on the business 's recumbent versions.

The Stamina Magnetic Resistance recumbent bike (15-4600A) sells for around $200 and is the cheapest model. It does look great value for money, but you really do have to inquire if this piece of gear will provide you with a cardiovascular workout that is adequate when you look closer. For starters, although there is resistance that is magnetic, there are only 8 levels and you have to manually change the resistance using a knob. While this may well not be an essential design flaw, the absence of built-in heart rate monitor is. To receive the best workout you actually do want this attribute and also the 15-4600A not having it's a major negative point. Finally, the building does look a little flimsy and rather basic. This machine features an unhealthy rating of 1.

To get a mere increase of $30, the Stamina Silent Magnetic Resistance bike (15-4800A) is a better buy. The design and building of it's is not worse than the 15-4600A. There are 6 preset workout plans and, with this model, you do get hand grip pulse sensors. That is would you'd expect at this price and you have to manually fix it using a knob, although the resistance still just comes with 8 levels. For its price, construct and features it gets a rating of 3 out of 5 and isn't that awful.

Next up is the EMR Conversion II Recumbent bike/rower (15-9002) that sells for around $600. I love the idea of combining bike and rowing machine as both provide work outs for different areas of the body and for most, buying and using two separate machines is expensive and impractical. But, the 15-9002 falls short like a great piece of clothing. While it's very easy to convert it lacks any preset plans, the building quality might not be worse and also the resistance is still at 8 degrees also it requires manual adjustment. Not up to scratch plus it only gets a rating of 2 out of 5.

The Stamina Conversion II Recumbent bike/rower (15-9003) is the greater option. It sells for around $800. When compared to the 15-9003 the better design and building is extremely clear along with the LCD is bigger and easier to read. But it lacks preset workout plans and there are still only 8 levels of resistance. From the two bike/rower machine that is the one that is better. Is it worth the additional $200? Likely. It gets a rating of 3 out of 5.

The priciest model is the Elite Total Body Bike(15-9100). It sells for a, not low-cost, price of $900. I am disappointed with this particular machine. While I just like the thought of the 'pedaling' handle bars the machine lacks many attributes. It does have hand grip sensors, a games console providing you the common info comments, etc. However, it lacks many that you'd expect a machine only at that price to possess. There's no preset programs, the resistance levels require manual adjustment and continue to be only 8! Compare this to the Tunturi E60R recumbent exercise bike that sells for $1,000. The Tunturi comes with one of the most feature-rich console you can get, 8 motivational, scalable workout profiles and 8 user profiles to suit individual fitness goals, electronically controlled brake that creates a wide effort range and enables the exercise settings to be readily changed whilst training - no manual adjustment, plus it includes a better warranty. The Tunturi simply outside does the Stamina on every outstanding point. This Stamina bike just gets a rating of 1 and leaves a lot to be desired.

A Stamina recumbent bike is cheap but it really is just suited to entry-level or occasional users. Those that are seriously interested in obtaining a great workout or already own a bike would be better advised to have a look at other brands.
