Organizations that implement data-driven change management are more successful in their change processes than those that don’t. For example, change success increases by 27 percent due to a high level of data maturity in the organization.

Data-driven change management has been shown to improve the success of change processes in organizations[1]. For instance, an organization's high data maturity raises change success by 27%, data-driven leadership increases it by 23%, and a data-driven culture boosts it by 26%. Greater openness, more involvement opportunities, and a stronger sense of power among employees are all advantages for organizations that base their change management decisions on data. This is supported by a recent Capgemini Invent study titled "Data-Driven Organizations: Boosting Change Success with Data," which polled 1,175 professionals and managers* from a range of sectors globally.
Both the amount of data and its significance are constantly growing. 97 zettabytes of data will be produced in 2022[2], and according to a poll conducted for the Capgemini Invent report, 61% of respondents rely on thorough data analysis when making decisions. Previously, the transformation was only fueled by ideas of change and the objectives and activities drawn from them. Now, transformation can be fueled by data, allowing objective KPIs to be created to monitor the success and progress of a change process.
The paper concludes that implementing data-driven change management in enterprises has many advantages. Among the reasons given, 44% of respondents want to utilise data to hasten decision-making, 42% want to increase transparency, and 38% believe that higher employee satisfaction measurements will be possible as a result of more data use.
Transparency and data-driven leadership affect shift outcomes and process trust
Data-driven leadership is a crucial cornerstone for the success of change. According to the study, leaders who model good behaviour and explain the advantages of using data can enhance the likelihood of change success by 23% and increase staff members' willingness to engage with data. 74 percent of respondents believe that data-driven leadership has increased the degree of trust between managers and workers in firms. A high level of data maturity, or an organization's capacity to use its data effectively, has also been found to boost change success by 27%.
