There are three levels of executive leadership. The Fund Leadership, the first group, is made up of Essar Capital's top executives. The majority of CEOs have background in accounting, risk management, strategy, taxation, and M&A. The portfolio heads or leaders are next. This comprises both longtime members of the organisation like J. Mehra and more recent additions like Anil Chaudhary, a former SAIL chairman and managing director. The CEOs and functional heads of operating firms like Essar Oil UK and Stanlow Terminals, which oversees the logistics of the same-named refinery in the UK, are included in a layer below. The two businesses fall within the infrastructure & logistics and energy divisions, which together account for the majority of the group's current top line.
