Frequently Asked Questions
Is it actually free?
Yes. Posting on PRFree costs nothing, asks for no card, and does not roll into a trial. The paid options are add-ons for sending a release to other sites. You can ignore them.
Will Google find it?
The page is public, so it can be indexed. PRFree does not promise a ranking or a position. A free posting gives you a page. It does not give you the front page.
How long until it is up?
Releases that pass the automatic check go up fast. The rest are read by a person within one to three business days.
Can I link to my own site?
Yes, up to five links. Keep it near one link per hundred words. A release that is nothing but links gets rejected.
What gets rejected?
Ads with no news in them, copied articles, anything explicit, and the usual money-making schemes. If it reads like a sales page, rewrite it as news or expect it back.
Do I need a company page?
No. Post under your own name. Open a newsroom only if more than one person will be posting for the business. Newsrooms are free too.
