ATMAE - The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering and the AGC Education and Research Foundation (AGCERF) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote greater access to scholarship opportunities for students enrolled in ATMAE-accredited construction-related programs.
This new partnership establishes a clear framework for collaboration between the two organizations, effective April 18, 2025. Under the agreement, students in ATMAE-accredited programs that meet AGCERF’s criteria will be eligible to apply for scholarships awarded by the AGC Education and Research Foundation—one of the most prominent scholarship providers in the construction industry.
“This partnership underscores ATMAE’s commitment to expanding opportunities for students in construction-related fields,” said Amy Good, Managing Director of Accreditation at ATMAE. “We are proud to work with AGC’s Foundation to recognize the quality of ATMAE-accredited programs and help students access vital funding that supports their academic and professional growth.”
The agreement outlines a collaborative process for program validation. Institutions must maintain ATMAE accreditation and provide documentation that aligns with AGCERF's curriculum expectations. ATMAE will review and validate this documentation during its accreditation process, which includes a rigorous review every four to six years. Following the review, institutions can submit the necessary materials to AGCERF for scholarship consideration.
“The AGC Education and Research Foundation is pleased to support students in ATMAE-accredited programs,” said Mr. Keith Dillon, Executive Director of the AGC Foundation. “By formally recognizing these programs, we open the door to new pathways for future leaders in construction to receive financial support and continue advancing the industry.”
Each year, ATMAE will provide AGC ERF with a list of accredited construction-related programs, while institutions will be responsible for submitting documentation required by AGCERF for their students’ scholarship eligibility.
This agreement is especially significant for institutions pursuing either initial accreditation or reaccreditation with ATMAE. By following the outlined steps, they can enhance the value of their programs and help their students gain access to nationally competitive scholarships that support educational achievement in construction-related fields.
