Typically AC motors (Wechselstrommotoren) are used in Sliding Gates, usually with a Worm Gearbox (Schneckengetriebe) to reduce the speed.
The first thing to check is to make sure that the motor is in good condition, and that your sliding gate is running smoothly along the full length of the path.
Next, you will need to run a power cable to the place of the motor, through a RCD circuit breaker, in the consumer unit. A residual-current device (RCD) is an electrical wiring device that disconnects a circuit when it discovers that the electric current isn't balanced between the live and the neutral conductor.This imbalance inadvertently touching the energized part of the circuit and may signify current leakage through the body of someone who is grounded. A lethal shock can result from these states. RCDs are designed to disconnect fast enough to prevent injury caused by such shocks. This workshould be finished by an experienced electrician. Or you could fit the type of motor that can run on solar power, therefore a DC Motor (Gleichstrommotor) or BLDC Motor (Bürstenloser DC-Motor). In this way you are able to guarantee that all the components are not compatible. It will come with a foundation plate to secure the motor to the earth. It will also have the correct rack and remote controls and photocells, and most of the fittings needed.I would strongly suggest that you simply fasten the plate using anchor bolts if your drive has already been laid with concrete.
