On May 19th the Aqueity team will join forces with ‘Nathaniel’s People’ in a 3 mile walk in Naperville, IL starting at the Naperville Riverwalk. This event supports Nathaniel Ostarello (past team member Ken Ostarello and wife Sarah’s son) and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Aqueity Inc. has shown their support of the event by matching employee donations on a dollar for dollar basis.

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetically inherited disease that affects approximately 30,000 children and adults in the US and over 70,000 worldwide. The disease causes the patient to produce large amounts of thick mucus in the body. This mucus presents a large problem in the lungs where it supports infections that often become life threatening. It also forms in the digestive tract and blocks the release of enzymes to break down the food eaten and reduces the body’s ability to absorb nutrients. Although the predicted median age of survival for a person with CF is in the late 30s, progress is being made in reducing the effects of this disease through the support of people and companies like Aqueity Inc.
