A recent Forbes article describes how marketers can learn from different farming methods.

A recent article from Forbes magazine showed how the farming methods CropFax uses can be applied to marketers and advertisers. CropFax uses artificial intelligence and database calculations to predict what seed varieties and hybrids farmers should plant in order to get the best yield.

β€œIn effect, the CropFax system presents the best specific hybrid seed information to fit the unique demographics of a grower,” said David Bitter, the CEO of CropFax in the Forbes article. β€œA good marketer will also utilize demographic intelligence to fit the right message to the right customer.”

In the article Bitter suggested marketers can no longer rely on broad generalizations of consumer data but must begin focusing on individuals and much smaller groups of people. The article really focuses on how farmer techniques can be applied to marketers.
