On August 13, 2023, Egon Cholakian, renowned particle physicist and federal lobbyist, made an urgent video statement on the true scale of climate collapse on our planet, addressing the world scientific community, nation’s leaders, and all humanity.
“Some scientists and policymakers argue against disseminating information about the severity of the situation to avoid causing panic and destabilizing society. However, such an approach can be dangerous, as it hinders the search for practical solutions to this problem”, stated Egon Cholakian.
While describing the climate challenges we are currently facing, he stressed: “It is evident that the Earth is experiencing a rapid escalation of extreme climatic and geodynamic events. There is a significant rise in the occurrence and magnitude of seismic, volcanic, hydrological, atmospheric, gravitational, and thermal anomalies”. However, Cholakian added that the most disturbing part is the rapid progression of the intensity of these climate catastrophes: “The unyielding data unequivocally indicate that catastrophes on Earth are escalating in a geometric progression, and within a mere thirteen years, our planet will cease to sustain life, a fate shared regrettably by humanity as well.”
Cholakian also named countries that will experience the biggest cataclysm in the near future: China and the United Arab Emirates. According to him, the territory of both countries will be exceptionally challenged by extreme climate events, which may inevitably lead to economic instability and turmoil.
However, Cholakian emphasizes that the current scientific approach is incapable of providing the necessary solution to protect people and countries from intensifying cataclysms and looming disaster: “While well-intentioned, the scientific community (often funded by conflicting interests) routinely finds itself divided on the paths traveled in furtherance of tackling challenging problems. Accordingly, the lens through which the subject at hand is often viewed frequently does not meet the needs of scientific interrogation”.
Thus a radically new approach in climate studies is required to thoroughly research the issue and find the urgent solution: “As soon as possible, we need to establish an interdisciplinary, multi-vector mechanism to save our planet, with the involvement of the best scientists from different countries around the world.”
“The correct and only solution to this problem depends on talented, united scientists endowed with unlimited scientific and financial resources. We must create a unified scientific community as soon as possible, free from the influence of political ambitions and economic interests,” - stresses Egon Cholakian.
In a remarkable video address, Egon Cholakian made a momentous appeal to establish a Unified International Scientific Research Center with unlimited access to all necessary resources: “This will allow exceptional scientists from all over the world to unite their efforts and prevent the destruction of the planet and all of humanity.”
Furthermore, Cholakian directed an earnest plea to presidents and leaders of all nations, urging them to transcend political divisions and prioritize the survival of human life. "In the name of science and humanity, I, Egon Cholakian, appeal to you, the leaders of the world's nations, with an urgent call: bury the hatchets of war and come to the negotiation table. It's time to think about a unified global economy and a consolidated united world. This is not just an expression of my views; it is an absolute necessity to ensure our planet's survival," Cholakian passionately said.
