Since its launch in 2018, the brand has been passionately working to revolutionize segments of the Indian kids' market to bring them at par with global standards. The brand inaugurated its first store on August 15, 2018, in the DLF Mall of India, Noida. Currently, Scoobies has 30+ stores across the country, including a presence in top kids’ retail chains like Hamleys, Iconic Kids, and Crosswords. Scoobies also have a strong online presence on leading E-commerce platforms like Nykaa, Myntra, Firstcry, Amazon, and My Baby Babbles, to name a few.
Scoobies Inception - Melbourne to India
The personal parenting travails and entrepreneurial stints of the husband-wife duo Vasundhra and Shantanu Dublish, accompanied by their business partner, Dharmesh Shah, gave shape to Scoobies, a vertical of Optimal Digitech Private Limited.
Vasundhra and Shantanu Dublish were based in Melbourne, Australia, and they decided to shift back to India in the later months of 2016. In this transition, Vasundhra who herself is a product designer realized that her kids missed Australian products in India. This sparked the idea behind Scoobies. Vasundhra Dublish along with Kamakshi Manchanda (VP of Marketing & Sales at Scoobies) traveled all over India to understand the gaps in the Indian kids' market and what kids and parents expect the product/s to look like.
“There are weeks and months of ideas and brainstorming that go behind making Scoobies products. Every Scoobies product runs through our own internal test of Scootility. Why kids will be attracted to this product and why parents will buy this product, is what we ask ourselves before working on the development of any product.

Scoobies success journey - Revisiting 2018
We started with a team of 10-12 people, and within the span of 5 years, we’ve grown as a brand with a workforce of over 100+ employees. Scoobies is covered by multiple publications, including Mompresso, LBB, So Delhi, and so on.
When COVID hit our country in the year 2020, we withstood two major lockdowns. While 80% of businesses were closed, Scoobies expanded its digital footprint and emerged as a strong brand. “We are working consistently to expand as a global brand and make Scoobies a household name in every nook and corner of the world. This is just the start of the bigger dream we started with…..” said Kamakshi Manchanda while talking about the brand’s roadmap.
2023 - Scoobies unlock new milestones
The year 2022 was a rollercoaster ride for Scoobies. The brand ventured into its franchising growth strategy with the launch of its first-ever franchise store in Hyderabad. This franchise store also represents a historic milestone for the brand, as Scoobies officially entered the South Indian market. The store is located in Hyderabad’s Sarath City Capital Mall.
Scoobies also stepped into Western India with the launch of its retail store in Pune’s Pheonix Marketcity Mall. The store was inaugurated by Aarohi kumawat aka Pihu from the famous TV serial Bade Acche Lagte Hai.
Scoobies also expanded its product range and introduced new categories. Little Fingers is a newly launched range, launched in June 23’ that especially caters to kids below 3 years. The category brings a wide range of art and craft essentials to introduce kids to the world of art and aid parents in their parenting journey. Fidget Toys is another category that Scoobies has focused on and is consistently making strong. Products like Wall Crawlers, Glowballs, Uni Dawdlers, and Spacy Dawdlers are making a buzz online and offline.
Scoobies also participated in an internationally acclaimed kids' exhibition organized by the Australian Toy Association in the initial months of 2023. Also, Scoobies will be seen as a official stationery sponsor for upcoming India’s biggest kids' fashion show Tic Tac Toe (TOTS).

We started with a dream of making kids explore their innate capabilities and competence. ‘Making childhood a celebration and school memories a remarkable experience’ is what we have worked for and are working to do. Scoobies new stores and franchises are already part of a bigger plan in the domestic and international markets, with a special focus on the US and Dubai markets.
