The number of car services available on the market can be quite impressive. However, many of those services are not covered by a regular policy, which is why you should get familiarized with them. To help you with that, today we are going to discuss the differences between car transport respectively car recovery services.

Maybe you are not too passionate about cars – you use them to take you from home to work and pick your kids from school somewhere in between these two. And that’s just fine, but not being passionate is one thing and not being interested is a totally different thing. Because ignorance is what gives you serious headaches and holes in the pockets the first time when your car will have a breakdown in the middle of a very long road from home.

Speaking of being stuck away from home, you might think about the two previously mentioned car services. It is logical to assume that car recovery involves having your car transported to a safe place. So aren’t you confused about the need of contracting both of these interventions?

Well, one huge difference can be stated from the very beginning: car transport involves having your car moved from one place to another, places that you get to choose. Breakdown recovery on the other hand is about having your car moved from one place – the one where the breakdown occurred – to the nearest repair shop. Once the problem solved, you get to take your beloved vehicle from that shop and drive wherever you want or need.

But what if the repair took longer than expected and, in the meantime, you went back home? Are you supposed to make another trip to that place just to bring your car because your policy does not include car transport?

To this sort of dilemma there are several options: one would be to simply ask from the beginning whether the breakdown cover includes transport for such interventions; another one would be to decide from the very beginning which of these too you might need more often and go for one – if you barely leave the town with your car, there is little need for car recovery; and last but not least, you can also contract a so-called one time transport service in the event that you really need it.

As you can understand, the option to have your car moved from one place to another does not have to be a service that you constantly contribute to. But if you anticipate you will be handling different cars or even when you might have to relocate yourself, you can benefit from discounts and other tempting offers as a regular customer.

The last thing safe to mention is that some car services are so valuable that you want to have them insured even if their need only occurs once in a lifetime. Others, no matter how minor they seem, can be necessary on a regular base, depending on your activity field. So which one is for you?

Think of all your driving habits and needs in order to anticipate whether it will be car transport http://www.carsrecoverylondon.com or car recovery http://www.carsrecoverylondon.com the service you might really need in the near future. Planning ahead is the wisest thing to do.
