As part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) efforts, Fidel Softech Limited has partnered with the Thinksharp Foundation to support a Solar Repair and Maintenance Skills Development Program. This program is helping 25 young individuals build a better future by training them in solar energy repair, maintenance and soft skills that are essential for today’s job market.
This initiative aims to create opportunities for youth, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, by giving them the skills needed to work in the growing solar energy industry. At the same time, it supports the larger goal of environmental sustainability by promoting clean energy solutions.
Fidel’s Managing Director, Prachi Kulkarni, was joined by Sneha Ratnaparkhi, Rashi Desai, Sampada Padhye, Aditya Maral and Vedant Mankar at the event.
The demand for clean and renewable energy is growing across India. With more homes, schools and businesses turning to solar power, there is a need for people who can install, maintain and repair solar systems. However, many rural areas still lack trained professionals in this field.
Fidel, in collaboration with the Thinksharp Foundation, is addressing this gap by helping young people learn these in-demand technical skills. The program teaches the basics of solar technology, including how to install and maintain solar panels and systems safely and effectively.
The training is hands-on and practical, ensuring that the participants are not just learning in a classroom but also gaining real-world experience.
Along with technical training, the program also focuses on soft skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving. These skills are often just as important as technical knowledge when it comes to getting and keeping a job.
The program also includes career guidance to help participants prepare for employment. They receive support with resume writing, interview preparation, and understanding different career paths in the renewable energy sector.
For those interested in starting their own business, the program also offers basic entrepreneurship training, helping them understand how to begin small solar-related businesses or offer services in their local communities.
This initiative is not just helping individuals—it is also making a difference in the community. Training skilled workers in solar repair and maintenance encourages the use of solar energy, which is cleaner and better for the environment.
These 25 trained youth can now support the adoption of solar technology in their villages and towns, improving energy access and reducing the carbon footprint of their communities. Over time, the benefits will multiply as more people get access to clean energy and more youth find meaningful employment.
A Shared Vision by Fidel and Thinksharp
Fidel and Thinksharp Foundation share a common goal: to empower rural youth through education and skill-building. While Thinksharp handles training and community coordination, Fidel provides the financial and strategic support needed to run the program successfully.
This collaboration reflects Fidel’s broader commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development. We believe that by investing in people and the planet, businesses can create real, lasting change.
As Fidel continues to invest in community development and environmental sustainability, it sets a powerful example for other organizations to follow, demonstrating that corporate social responsibility can lead to meaningful change and a brighter future for all.
