Philip Treuil Skilled Veterinarian with Focus on Cancer

Posted June 30, 2013 by philiptreuil

Philip Treuil is a proud and accomplished veterinarian who focuses on cancer in animals.

In 2002, Philip Treuil earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine at the Louisiana State University. Since then, he has continued to improve his skills while focusing primarily on radiation oncology and cancer research. His work has brought him to many different places, including Texas and North Carolina, where he currently practices. He has a Master's in Radiation Biology and has successfully completed a radiation oncology residency.

Philip Treuil is pleased to announce that he is planning to further increase his efforts in the veterinary field, focusing on treating and curing cancer in animals. Although the work is challenging and difficult, Philip Treuil wants the world to know that he is dedicated to improving his expertise.

Philip Treuil believes that there is a lot that those studying human cancers can learn from spontaneously occurring tumors in animals. His studies at Colorado State University earned him a master's in radiation biology in 2005. Philip Treuil also completed a radiation oncology residency at the Colorado State University in the same year, further improving and honing his skills.

Philip Treuil became a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2005. During this time, he continued to practice veterinary medicine helping those whose pets suffered from any medical problems, most notably cancer.

Given his immense experience and knowledge of radiation in a veterinary context, Philip Treuil serves as the radiation safety officer for the Carolina Veterinary Specialists and has succeeded in this position since 2011.

Asked about why he chose to focus on cancer in his veterinary studies, Philip Treuil replied, "I felt that cancer in animals was a somewhat undertreated condition where devotion could yield results. It feels good to know that the veterinary community has made progress fighting animal cancers."

Philip Treuil currently practices veterinary medicine in North Carolina. He has been published in three different veterinary medical journals in the past, most recently in the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association in 2011.
