Los Angeles, CA – Famed Brazilian Actor Emiliano Ruschel won the Best Lead Actor award in the recently concluded 7th Annual Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival [LABRFF] 2014, held at the Linwood Dunn Theater. Emiliano has worked on several movies, TV series and theater productions in his native country of Brazil and here in the US. Some of his acting credits include 'VIPs', critically acclaimed 'Streets of Rio', and the film that won him his best actor trophy in LABFF 2014, 'Forever Nevermore'.
He’s currently filming “Alesia” (www.alesiatheseries.com), a series set to air in early 2015. Emiliano stars as Christian, a reclusive former marine that now works for the DEA to investigate the kidnapping of a Brazilian woman in Germany. His next film project is “New Age”, a sci-fi/thriller where Emiliano stars as George, the British/Brazilian CEO of Cyber Mind, the company responsible for neural trip technology.

Since 2008, the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) has helped hundreds of Brazilian films receive commercial distribution, worldwide audience and critical acclaim.
The 4-day film festival showcased several Brazilian feature films, shorts and panels and is regarded by media and industry professionals as one of the most important filmmaking events to happen outside of the country.
In “Forever Nevermore”, Emiliano stars as Domingos, an impetuous Italian colonist and farmer on the fringe of a civil war. His rocky relationship with his wife Luisa is shaken even further by the appearance of a soldier and a secret that threatens to destroy everything Domingos holds dear in life.
In addition to Best Lead Actor for Emiliano, “Forever Nevermore” also won as Best Soundtrack and Photography.
