Fabretto fills 6 ½ “buses” for drive to provide nutrition, health, education and character development for the children of Nicaragua
NEW YORK - Led by the donation by Joelle O’Reilly-Hyland and Paul O’Reilly-Hyland, Fabretto Children’s Foundation filled six and half “buses” on its drive to provide every Nicaraguan child with education enrichment activities, the non-profit group announced today.
“Thanks to people like Paul and Joelle O’Reilly-Hyland, the children of Nicaragua will have access to enrichment activities that would have been impossible to deliver without their support,” said Kevin Marinacci of the Fabretto Children's Foundation
Fabretto’s most recent fundraising campaign was through the purchase of “bus seats” which would help drive kids to receive a great education.
“Education is without a doubt most important factor in determining a child’s future – but to be truly effective, that education must go beyond reading, writing and arithmetic,” said Joelle O'Reilly-Hyland, who as a “driver” agreed to spread the word about the campaign to family, friends, neighbors and colleagues in addition to making a financial donation. “To prepare children in Nicaragua and all over the world, we must offer them enrichment activities including computer classes, art, music, sports and dance. That is why Fabretto is such a great organization and why I’m proud to support it.”
The O’Reilly-Hylands gave their gift through the Ounavarra Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization that supports education causes all around the world.
Fabretto's mission is to empower underserved children and their families in Nicaragua to reach their full potential, improve their livelihoods, and take advantage of economic opportunity through education and nutrition. More than 10,500 students benefit annually from their programs and services.
