Palmyra, New Jersey (February 17th, 2022) –– As part of its commemoration of Black History Month, EL-Beth EL Community Cathedral will honor Dr. James Still, who was known throughout South Jersey in the mid-to-late 1800s as the "Black Doctor of the Pines" and attracted patients from throughout the region to benefit from his homeopathic treatments.
“In his spirit, we are deeply committed to the health and safety of residents in our community. Through this educational event and the distribution of 1000 free Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Home Tests, face masks, and Covid-19 sanitation products (non-toxic hospital-grade disinfectants), we are working swiftly to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure our neighbors in our community have access to rapid testing at home. During this year's event, we aim to recognize and honor accomplishments that have had a defining impact on our community” said Pastor James Roberts. “I invite everyone to celebrate with us not only during this month of cultural significance but throughout the year as we celebrate the vibrancy of African American culture.”
This two-day event will be held at EL-Beth EL Community Cathedral on 21 West Broad Street in Palmyra, NJ on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, February 26, 2022, from11:00 am to 4:00 PM.
