As a successful member of the business community in Singapore, Sukarman Sukamto has found a great deal of success. He is pleased to announce that a large part of this success is due to his knowledge and understanding of the many cultures of the world. Since he was young adult, Sukamto Sia has known that the world of business would bring him the financial security he wanted in life. After high school, he attended college and received a degree in business studies. He then took that degree and used it to go to graduate school, where he later earned a master’s in business. While in graduate school, Sukarman Sukamto took on a number of internships, one of which landed him his first job out of school.

Since that time, Sukamto Sia has founded his own successful company in Singapore. Throughout all of his success, one thing that still surprises him to this day is how much of his success is due to his knowledge of world culture. Sukarman Sukamto says, “Throughout my time as a business professional, I’ve been fortunate enough to do a lot of traveling. Various business ventures required me to travel to different parts of the world. In the beginning, I found this to be somewhat of a hindrance, as I was not fully prepared to do business overseas. However, I quickly realized the benefits of learning the language and culture of the areas that I traveled to for business.”

Sukamto Sia explains that having an understanding of the types of people that he does business with helps him a great deal in having successful business transactions. This is true on any level of business, but it took Sukarman Sukamto time to realize how to build that level of understanding across cultural boundaries.

He continues, “After a few years, I began to study areas of the world where there were great opportunities to expand my business. Eventually, with the aid of interpreters, I began relationships with businesses in all corners of the world.” He was willing to explore not only Singapore, but the world, for business opportunities. This led Sukarman Sukamto’s business to success.
