Daniela Olauson is looking forward to a career as a school administrator

 
Daniela Olauson has a well-rounded educational background that is serving as an excellent foundation for her next career move. She is currently a school psychologist, but wants to become a school administrator. Daniela Olauson anticipates receiving a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential from the University of California Irvine in November 2014.

Daniela Olauson earned her undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Translation/Interpretation and teacher credential from the Universidade Ibero Americana in São Paulo-SP, Brazil, in 1996. Between 1992 and 1998 she taught English as a second language to children at public and private schools (K-9) in São Paulo, to teenagers in a Juvenile Hall facility, and to executives in investment and commercial banks.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Daniela Olauson was a substitute teacher in grades K-5 several Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. She taught Elementary school and was an art coordinator at the St. Maria Goretti Catholic School, Long Beach.

Daniela Olauson earned her School Psychologist Credential from California State University Long Beach in 2005, and today is a nationally certified school psychologist employed at the Anaheim Union High School District. Her duties at AUHSD include group and individual counseling, staff training in mental health issues, conducting initial and triennial evaluations, and consultation and support of teachers, among others. She is very familiar with the implementation of school-wide and district-wide Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI²), a student-centered multi-tiered approach of structure and support. She is fluent in three languages.
