As a QuickStart Certified instructor, seasoned tennis veteran James Huneke continues to experience success with the QuickStart training method.

As an advocate for and instructor of the QuickStart tennis training method, James Huneke is proud to announce continued success of this popular and effective teaching tool. This professional teaching method, which was first designed and implemented by the United States Tennis Association, or USTA, has become the preferred teaching method for tennis instruction professionals from across the country. James Huneke, who is based in Des Moines, IA, has taken full advantage of QuickStart. He firmly believes that QuickStart will quickly become the norm of professional tennis instruction.

The USTA announced the introduction of the QuickStart Tennis teaching model in 2008. This was done as a way to give young players, aged 10 and younger, an excitingly-new and innovative way to pursue their interests in tennis. James Huneke, a dedicated and devoted local tennis pro, has recently earned his certification in QuickStart instruction. He explains how QuickStart is sweeping the nation, and how it is quickly changing the way tennis is presented and taught to young children.

The USTA QuickStart training tool was constructed from the notion that young children require a scaled down and easier way to experience the benefits of professional tennis instruction. As James Huneke explains, QuickStart depends on the reduction of tennis court and equipment size in order to provide young students a safer and less-overwhelming opportunity to develop their tennis skills. This reduction in scale, as James Huneke states, provides children a quality tennis experience without the intimidation of adult-size rackets, balls and courts. The scaling reduction provides players the chance to better familiarize themselves with professional-quality tennis equipment from the onset of the very first lesson.

James Huneke states that the often overwhelming scale of a full-sized tennis court has the potential to discourage young children from maintaining a healthy and productive interest in the game. The advent of this innovative new system provides James Huneke and many other tennis instruction professionals with a whole new way to open the possibilities of tennis to the youth of America.

James Huneke says that frustration often occurs when young children experience the overwhelming challenge of using clunky and over-sized tennis equipment. It is James Huneke’s hope that the QuickStart method will forever change how both parents and young children pursue their interest in the game.
