Stainless Steel 409:
Stainless Steel 409 grade is an alloy combination of iron and chromium. It is ferritic stainless steel with little chromium and very less nickel. It is an affordable metal and can be seen and used in many things. It is corrosion-free but not very much because very little amount of nickel and chromium.
Most modern factory exhaust systems are made from 409 stainless steel. It is strong and will last 8-10 years in a moderate climate. 409 stainless steel will rust on the surface.

Alloy 409 is a general-purpose, chromium, titanium stabilized, ferritic stainless steel whose primary application is automotive exhaust systems. It contains 11% chromium which is the minimum amount for the formation of the passive surface film which gives stainless steel its corrosion resistance.

Stainless Steel 409 sheets:
Stainless Steel 409 sheets are versatile and used in a variety of applications. It is primarily selected for its resistance to corrosion, longevity, and formability. Typical uses of stainless steel sheet/plate include construction, food service applications, transportation, chemical, marine, and textile industries.

Stainless Steel 409 plates:
Stainless steel plate is often referred to as 'corrosion-resistant steel' - it does not stain, corrode or rust as easily as normal carbon steel. It would however be misleading to say it is corrosion-proof. Plates made of stainless steel are sturdy and can be used regularly without any fuss. The product (stainless steel) is easy to use and clean and does not react with the food we eat.

Stainless Steel 409 coils:
The stainless steel coil is made from a finished steel product such as a sheet or strip that has been wound or coiled after rolling; its width is much greater than the thickness. Depending on the production method, steel coil can be classified as Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, or Galvanized.
