TulipClean.com Facing Class Action Investigation Over False Advertising Claims

Posted August 8, 2016 by TulipClean

Tulipclean.com ran a campaign asking people to refer their friends. Instead of mailing out promised rewards, they changed their e-mail address.

A young single mother was excited to learn she could earn a year's supply of floss from the tulipclean.com promotion. All she had to do was refer 50 friends. She referred 53 for good measure. Then she waited and waited.

She contacted the company to ask when she'd receive her shipment and they promised her Spring of 2016. So she waited and waited. She e-mailed them in June and heard nothing back. Finally, she decided to take legal action.

Tellingly, when she contacted tulipclean.com with a legal notice, they responded they had changed their e-mail address. They claimed some of the e-mail addresses were invalid, however each email was verified before the credit was given. The instructions for the promotion never claimed the referrer had to be responsible for anything else.

TulipClean.Com offered to send out one shipment, when the prize for 50 referrals was a year's supply. The single mother began wondering who else they had done this to. Sanjay and Cathy from TulipClean.Com didn't even contact anyone to say they weren't going to receive the "prize" they had qualified for.

That being said, tulipclean.com finally lawyered up and had their attorney, Caroline Gately from Venable send nasty e-mails to the victimized single mom.
