Dr. Madanes and the team at Midwest Fertility Center have added another factor to their operation that will allow infertility patients to feel safer. Through the use of a miniature camera attached to a special optical system, experts at Midwest Fertility Center are now able to get a much better view inside the abdominal cavity. This allows specialists performing in vitro fertilization procedures to much more effectively observe the ovaries and uterus of a patient. The benefits of such a technology are endless.
Laparoscopy is used in diagnosis at Midwest Fertility Center. The camera is usually inserted during the second part of the menstrual cycle, offering the observer the greatest opportunity for accuracy in the diagnosis. Evaluating tubal potency, biopsy collecting, and other tests are among the list of things this state-of-the-art camera can do.
The use of laparoscopic technology means there is no longer a need to make large incisions in the abdomen. Patients undergoing procedures at Midwest Fertility Center now experience very little recovery time after surgery, whereas before patients would have to miss weeks of work in order to recover properly.
The specialists at Midwest Fertility Center are ecstatic about what the new technology means for the patients. “Our desire is for every patient to recover as quickly as possible,” says a Midwest Fertility Center specialist. “The use of a camera during the operation also decreases the possibility of a mistake during the process of in vitro fertilization,” comments another Midwest Fertility Center operator.
The camera also assists Midwest Fertility Center in a way not yet mentioned. The time that the patient spends under IV sedation has been made significantly shorter than before.
