Growth is an important part of any business. As a company grows, it is not uncommon to see new divisions of a company created. After Robert John Nordby took control of Bend Oil Company in 2003, he helped to oversee and create a new division of his oil company.

Bend Oil Company was established in 1927. The company was originally owned by Shell. Once the company was purchased by Robert John Nordby, Shell products were still the product of choice. Since its establishment, the company has served the commercial and home oil heating needs for customers and clients in central Oregon.
Robert John Nordby, along with others heading the company, decided to create a new division of the company called Supervised Fuels. “The division we developed is called Supervised Fuels. It is a fleet fueling management program designed to lower a fleet’s total cost of operation,” says Bend Oil Company owner Robert John Nordby.
The goal of the program is to ensure vehicles are fueled efficiently and under tight control to illuminate fuel theft. “By controlling the fueling of vehicles, companies that use our fuel management program save money by reducing labor costs and boosting productivity. The oversight operation of Supervised Fuels responsible for reducing fuel theft is called Super Oversight,” says Robert John Nordby.

Supervised Fuels, the division of Bend Oil Company created by Robert John Nordby serves the same clients as the main company. Customers of Bend Oil Company include large transportation companies, small businesses, and government agencies at the city, state, and federal level. The fuel management service is designed to help clients save money on their cost of operations related to the time and money spent on fueling.

Robert John Nordby is honored to be part of the Bend Oil Company team. For a decade he has helped lead the company as owner and President. His goal is to continue the company’s strong reputation for friendliness, timeliness, and quality.
